How I cut 5 years off of my age through skincare!

2020 was a STRUGGLE for everyone as we adjusted to the lockdown life. This meant more time inside, meals at home (BOO), and not socializing with others. For me, this gave me an excuse to spend hours scrolling through Instagram Reels and Tik Tok. That may sound like unproductivity, but I surprisingly spent most of that time learning about skincare.

Up until this past year, I washed my face maybeeeee once a month? I never applied moisturizer because I believed the common misconception that you shouldn’t do that if you have oily skin. All my life I had been told that I had oily skin, but throughout my social media research, I learned that I actually had combination skin (oily in some parts, dry in others). I used the wrong kind of face wash when I did wash my skin, and I cringed while reading the nasty ingredient list after getting woke.

So you want to go to grad school abroad? The study visa process

My previous blog post outlined 9 steps you can take to make your dreams of studying abroad come true. As I briefly mentioned, applying for your study visa is one of the most important steps of the process. You cannot enter the country to study without a valid visa, so you must apply for it ahead of time.

Visa processing lengths vary, but plan ahead and apply at least 2-3 months before you intend to travel. Gathering the required documents will also take time on its own, so I would recommend starting that process at least 2 months before applying. All in all, you should starting preparing 4-5 months before your program starts.

So you want to go to grad school abroad? The basics

Ever since I can remember, I have had the urge to travel all over the world. My parents helped instill this sense of wanderlust as we took a family vacation each year. During spring, summer, or winter break, the five of us would pack up the minivan and hit the road. We traveled near and far, so I had visited over 30 of the 50 states by the time I was 18. I took my first international trip as an early teenager and never looked back. I have now visited 23 countries and counting (COVID-19 depending). I love traveling and dream about making a career out of it. I also have a passion for learning, so I knew I wanted to attend graduate school at some point in my life.
